Solverminds opens Dubai office and re-accredits CMMI Level 3

Two milestones in the same year — the Group HQ moves to Dubai, and the CMMI process maturity certification is renewed for another cycle.

2021 brought two organisational milestones for Solverminds. The Dubai office opened as the Group HQ, joining existing presences in Chennai (engineering and delivery), Singapore (ship management), Hamburg, and South Korea. And the CMMI Level 3 accreditation — first awarded in 2015 — was renewed for another cycle.

Why Dubai

Dubai sits at a natural junction for the maritime industry — close to the bunker markets of the Gulf, with direct customer reach across the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean trades. Establishing the Group HQ there put the leadership closer to the clients those trades depend on.

What CMMI re-accreditation actually means

CMMI Level 3 — formally CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV/3) — means that engineering and project-management processes are characterised across the organisation rather than being individually competent. A re-accreditation cycle restates that the standard has been maintained, not just achieved once and abandoned.

For enterprise clients evaluating Solverminds in procurement, the re-accreditation is the difference between a one-time achievement and a sustained engineering discipline. The latter is what matters for multi-year ERP deployments.

Concurrent product launches

The same year also saw the launch of i-Nautix and DISTILL, expanding the ship-management product portfolio. Both shipped to production in 2021 and have been deployed since.
